I'm running a KDE desktop with OpenRC and X11 (with Wayland installed for testing, but I'm not currently using it), kernel 5.18.12.
I noticed a couple of days ago lines in dmesg about keyrings which, apart from the first. are new:
Code: | Jul 14 09:31:43 kernel: Initialise system trusted keyrings
Jul 14 09:32:43 sddm-helper[3087]: gkr-pam: gnome-keyring-daemon started properly and unlocked keyring
Jul 14 09:33:50 gnome-keyring-daemon[4504]: discover_other_daemon: 1
Jul 14 10:10:16 sddm-helper[10523]: gkr-pam: gnome-keyring-daemon started properly and unlocked keyring
Jul 14 10:16:39 gnome-keyring-daemon[11358]: couldn't access control socket: /run/user/1003/keyring/control: No such file or directory
Jul 14 10:16:39 gnome-keyring-daemon[11358]: discover_other_daemon: 0 |
I don't really want a keyring daemon running just for SDDM, and certainly not a gnome one.
This is after my most recent emerge --update, which hit the following:
Code: | 2022-07-14T07:01:52 >>> x11-misc/vdpauinfo: 7s

I'd be grateful if anyone could shed light. _________________ Greybeard |
