|

Hello, I am quite new to Gentoo, I got it running with plasma desktop and know a few basics about portage, but I ran into an error as I was trying to install Steam from .
I added no
I faced the issue that the abi_x86_32 should be enabled for installing. So I enabled it and ran it again. Now it prompts me to disable it.
If it is enabled I get "Multiple package instances within a single package slot"
Code: | x11-libs/libvdpau:0
(x11-libs/libvdpau-1.4:0/0::gentoo, installed) USE="dri -doc -test" ABI_X86="(64) -32 (-x32)" pulled in by
(no parents that aren't satisfied by other packages in this slot)
(x11-libs/libvdpau-1.4:0/0::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) USE="dri -doc -test" ABI_X86="32 (64) (-x32)" pulled in by
(no parents that aren't satisfied by other packages in this slot)
(and 1 more with the same problem)

and same with the packages
Code: |
x11-libs/libXxf86vm
x11-libs/libXrandr
|
if i disable it, it returns
Code: |

Regarding wayland-scanner the status from the list up top is:
[ebuild UD ] dev-util/wayland-scanner-1.19.0::gentoo [1.20.0::gentoo] ABI_X86="32%* (64%*) (-x32)" 0 KiByes
I wonder why it wants to upgrade and downgrade
I read something about oneshotting it, but Im afraid to destroy my system.
I use a multilib config but I dont know if I can add the AB_x86_32 flag globally and would not have to recompile everything ...
Please point me in the right direction, and feel free to ask me for config files!
Thanks in advance

I think it might be confused and a fix has been applied (see here). Could you emerge --sync in a few hours and try again, and share the new output? Try a world update first too. |
