Hallo,

ich habe hier aktuell ein Problem mit LVM2 in Zusammenhang mit dem Kernel 5.15.11.

bisher hatte ich mir , wenn ein neuer Kernel verfügbar war mit zcat /proc/config.gz > .config die alte Konfig in den neuen Kernel kopiert und ein make syncconig durchgeführt. Dann das make und neu gestartet - diese Prozedur lief eigentlich reibungslos die letzten Jahre.
Diese Steps wollte ich jetzt auch mit dem 5.15.11 machen - und siehe da, LVM2 findet meine Partitionen nicht mehr.

Kann mir jemand helfen, welche Parameter im Kernel geändert werden müssen bzw. ob LVM2 angeasst werden muss?

öhm wiso via "make syncconig"

um alte config in neuen kernel zu übernehemen nutzt man normalerweise:

"make oldconfig"

Ansonsten via make menuconfig das config menü öffnen und prüfen ob folgenden optionen aktiv sind:

Und wenn diese aktiv sind liegt es an was anderes

Ich sehe das leider häufiger! Wo kommt diese Option eigentlich her???

Diese Option ist in den meisten Fällen verkehrt - und kann den Rechner um 50-80% langsamer machen!

Da ist doch irgendwo ein Bug in den Gentoo Kerneln???
