One day i restarted my pc and sound stopped working i tried recompiling the modules and it didnt work when i run | Code: | | sudo modprobe snd-usb-audio |
it gives me the error | Code: | | modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'snd_usb_audio': Exec format error |
in dmesg it says | Code: | | snd_pcm: exports duplicate symbol __snd_pcm_lib_xfer (owned by kernel) |
does anyone have any idea how to fix this[/code]

Then update grub.

You mean the kernel?
