So I get the following output when I try to merge i3-rounded... is this something I can fix on my end?

It's a bug, you can copy it in your local overlay and re-create manifest.

Alright, I managed to set up my own local overlay, but I'm doing something wrong... when I attempt to merge the package, I get the following output, and I can 't seem to figure out why.

You missed to copy files directory and its content in your local overlay.

| I've done that, and I'm still getting the same error. I folllowed the wiki on how to create a local overlay, then made a bunch of mistakes trying to get a manifest made, and now it's complaining these files aren't there when they are. I apologize for what must seem like silly questions; I'm still new to Gentoo. |

Sorry I misread, it seems that patch i3-rounded-4.18-musl.patch not working with 4.19 version.
If you don't use musl you can remove patch from ebuild, the lines

should become
