Hi all
I have a strange problem. Currently using genkernel on x86_64, kde/plasma
I was working in libreoffice to create a couple of new files to send to a mail recipient as pdf attachments to mail. The files were created successfully, in the directory specified, and were visible in libreoffice file dialogs.
However, when attempting to attach the file to a mail created in google chrome (gmail), the new files were not listed. I checked in Dolphin and the newly created files were NOT visible there either. I checked in a terminal using ls and the files are listed just fine (with correct permissions). I restarted Dolphin and the new files appeared. However, a restart of chrome did NOT result in the open file dialog displaying the new files.
This has never happened to me before - been using this combination in gentoo for many years. The only change is the genkernel (since I had a disc failure and had to re-install all the main o/s onto a new disc)
Anyone any thoughts?
I am baffled. |

Are DNOTIFY, INOTIFY_USER and FANOTIFY enabled in your kernel? |
