Hello,
I'm running a Mate desktop Environment with a nouveau driver where I'll like to control it over a TigerVNC server compiled with the xorg module (So I have control over the entire x server), but it's giving me some pretty bad glitches I don't know how to even start debugging.
It looks like the old school Windows XP glitch, where the window leaves traces of itself behind. Here is what it looks like: (See here: https://i.imgur.com/S54494B.png)
In MATE, it's completely unusable. I can't even click on anything. I tried it with GNOME, and although it is a lot better in the sense that I can click on things, it's still quite glitchy (See here: https://i.imgur.com/YBgKG15.png)
Interestingly, when on lightdm, it works perfectly. So perhaps the issue is with GNOME environments.
I'm really not sure with what to provide to help diagnose this here, especially because there is no info on the net, so here are my system specs for now:
1. Core 2 Quad Q8200
2. ASUS P5KPL-AM
3. GeForce GT 630
4. 6GB of ancient DDRII memory |
