Hi there, first time Gentoo user here.
I'm using a Thinkpad T61 with integrated Intel graphics. I've got it connected to an AMD HD5450 GPU via the expresscard slot. Radeon drivers are enabled as a module in the kernel.

I want Xorg to utilise the AMD hardware, but display to the laptop screen (not an external monitor). I've followed the hardware acceleration guide (https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Xorg/Hardware_3D_acceleration_guide#What_is_DRI.3F) until the "configure Xorg" section. Using either "10-dri.conf" or "video.conf" results in a "no screens found(EE)" error on startx, presumably because no monitor is connected to the card. How do I let it know to use the laptop display?

Apologies in advance if this is an easy question
