This morning I saw this error...

Code:
Jul 31 04:02:03 comp.com syslog-ng[31514]: Error opening plugin module; module='disk-buffer', error='/lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.33\' not found (required by /usr/lib64/syslog-ng/libdisk-buffer.so)'

Oddly, I do have that version of glibc installed?

Code:
[ebuild   R    ] sys-libs/glibc-2.33-r1:2.2::gentoo  USE="(crypt) multiarch (multilib) ssp (static-libs) -audit -caps (-cet) -compile-locales -custom-cflags -doc -gd -headers-only -multilib-bootstrap -nscd -profile (-selinux) -static-pie -suid -systemtap -test (-vanilla)" 16,699 KiB

Here are my USE flags for syslog-ng

Code:
[ebuild   R    ] app-admin/syslog-ng-3.30.1-r2::gentoo  USE="tcpd -amqp -caps -dbi -geoip2 -http -ipv6 -json -kafka -mongodb -pacct -python -redis -smtp -snmp -spoof-source -systemd -test" PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="python3_8 -python3_9" 5,574 KiB

Any ideas?

Thanks
hanji

not sure why there's a spurious symbol after the version identifier, seems like corruption, did you try rebuilding app-admin/syslog-ng and restarting?

Hopefully it wasn't due to the migration or something...

Hmmm.. it's possible that I didn't restart syslog-ng after the update. I just did it. I'll keep an eye out.

Thanks!
