The kde-frameworks/*-5.80.0 is no longer in tree. _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

Hi,
So, how do I resolve it?
Do "emerge --sync" and restart? Will everything be handled correctly?
Or there is a better way?
Thank you. |

You should understand why the update tries to put that version and not 5.82. _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

Hi,
What do you mean?
I started this install about a month ago. But had family emergency and was away from this laptop.
Now I came back, finish the install and tried to put kde-meta on.
Are you saying its been deleted from the tree during my absence?
Thank you. |

Hi,
Will everything be handled correctly?
I mean I'm in the middle of the merge...
Thank you. |

I don't know.
Another way is download patch from other mirror how is yet present like this and put it in distfiles directory. _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

We don't know what you have or haven't done. It's possible you may need to remove some packages to encourage Portage to do the upgrade in the right order. It's probably not much worse than having not done any of the updates weeks ago, and trying to update now after 4-6 weeks unattended. |

Hu,
I completed the install, logged in to a machine and then issue "emerge kde-meta". I had to turn on "cups" for it and after that ran the command.
That is literally all I did.
I didn't do anything in between.
Thank you.
P.S.: In the meantime I continued by skipping the offending package. So maybe after that finishes (and I come back home from work), I will sync and restart the merge. Or just grab the patch file and finish it. |
