I found that on Arch forums, a patch for the driver and works very well. I'm using some video services, youtube, netflix and VLC and nothing wrong.

The patch is this

I can confirm that this patch does indeed work. I've been using it since 5.11 was first released and it's been fine so far (currently using 5.11.2).

hello and welcome.

Please create a bug ticket at https://bugs.gentoo.org/ (everything is named a bug even if it is a improvement)

Patches for additional kernel support on 3rd party modules are typically refused unless very trivial (notably on virtualbox-modules and nvidia-drivers). For nvidia 390.xx this tend to add up with every new major kernel versions (5.12, 5.13, etc... unlikely nvidia will update above 5.10 LTS for 390.xx) and can't fully guarantee that these patches are fine.

It's nice to be available somewhere for users that want them though (like here).

That's the reason why i don't put a ticket. How Ionen says, they can reject this because is very trivial. But they can apply with a condition update, how a lot of patches are emerged and automatly applied when detect some conditions, the true beauty of python. They only download while both packages are found, kernel 5.11 and nvidia 390.xx, put into portage/patches and go.

Best to make a wiki page explaining the problem and solving it via user patch.
Or in "Tips and tricks"
