I need to have a serial device at 0x338h and IRQ11. I looked in serial.conf and changed the ttyS13 line to use IRQ11. Now what? After rebooting I looked under /dev and only see ttyS0 and ttyS1 (com1 and com2 which both work fine). I can only assume I need to do something with devfsd.conf but this file confuses the hell out of me. Help needed.

Also, I always hear of having serial support in the kernel... Just where is this option? I don't know why I don't see it anywhere, but since my standard com ports work does that mean I have it compiled in already?

"setserial" is what I was looking for. It's amazing how the longer you think about something the better google keywords you come up with. :)

Since I don't need com1 I did
Code:

setserial /dev/ttyS0 irq 11 port 0x338
works perfect! I bet /dev/cua0 still controls com1 too... but as I said I don't need it.
