He wouldn't have called it something racist like "kung flu" to begin with. Anyway, here is a good timeline of Trump doing a shit job to do with Covid. Basically, a good politician in this situation speaks to his epidemiologists and doctors and he speaks their words.

You just copied and pasted stuff that was not policy, just a bunch of tweets. Trump originally was listening to WHO and the Chinese government, which were both lying about the severity of the WuFlu. It wasn't until February that WHO acknowledged the virus was transferable between humans. When Trump shut down travel from China he was roundly criticized. Same with travel from Europe. Trump was also following recommendations from his medical advisors. Fauchi originally was saying that masks were not helpful, then changed his mind.

Nobody criticized Barry when 100,000 died of the flu. Something we knew about and something which we had a vaccine.

The true villain is the Chinese Communist Party. They purposely spread this virus over the globe. They shut down all domestic travel out of Wuhan, yet kept international travel open. It was an act of war on the planet, yet I understand you would want to deflect the blame from the Chinese commies.

You mention Trump contracting the disease. So did Boris. Was that Trump's fault too?

The why did he "greatly appreciates their [China's] efforts and transparency". I don't think you realise that some idiot people actually listen to what he says. He has a responsibility to make sure what he says is safe and responsible and he failed in that hundreds of times.

I don't think anything was definitively known until February. China isn't the easiest place to get information to and from

I have no clue why he was criticised. Most countries did it.
Old School wrote:

Then why did Trump continue not to wear masks. And why did he continue to allow people at rallies, meeting and anything to do with him to not wear masks? I saw a video of him today where people were on the streets cheering him and most weren't wearing masks. If he brought in mask rules in June or July then 50,000 or 100,000 people could of been saved, blood which is on his hands. Remember, the CDC said people should wear masks on April 3rd.

Also, your info on Fauci is incorrect: https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-fauci-outdated-video-masks-idUSKBN26T2TR

Obama had already done his job, it's up to your health system to make sure the right people get the flu jab

You should be able to admit that Trump's personal response (see previous post) has been poor... and that is putting it politely. He has consistently gone against doctors and epidemiologists advice and has suggested drugs that he shouldn't and even made outlandish claims about light and injecting bleach. Didn't a couple eat fish cleaning tablets because it contained one of the chemicals and one of them died? Would that have happened under Obama? No. Even Bush wouldn't have done that!

Trump wore a mask when needed. People at rallies were offered a mask if they did not have one. But, and I know this is foreign to you, Trump is not a dictator. The President has no power to tell a citizen that he/she must wear a mask.

Oh, I get it. Trump is supposed to make sure everyone is wearing a mask, yet Obama gets to put the duty on our health care system.

Fauci and masks. I find it hilarious that you believe what leftist "fact checkers" claim.

Leftist fact checkers? Now you're doing what the US has been done recently, anything that doesn't fit in with your ideology is denigrated and ridiculed, exactly what you blamed democrats of. Here is your false statement and why it's false

Quote:
Fauci made this comment on an interview with 60 Minutes on March 8, during the early stages of the novel coronavirus outbreak in the United States. A longer extract of the interview is visible youtu.be/PRa6t_e7dgI

The interview predates the CDC’s updated guidance on the use of face coverings. On April 3, 2020, the CDC updated its previous advice and recommended people wear cloth face coverings “in public settings when around people outside their household, especially when social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.”

Trump certainly has the authority and in times of crisis should do what's best for the country. In reality it wouldn't have been much to say that masks have to be worn to save lives. I was in Portugal in August and they were doing the same as the UK: even though you didn't have to wear masks outdoors, as soon as you went indoors you had to wear them. It's getting worse here and gatherings of more than 6 have been outlawed

Trump was at the time just following the advice of his experts.

As the advice evolved so did Trump's response.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is the disease you are suffering from.

As the advice evolved so did Trump's response.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is the disease you are suffering from.
That is not after April 3rd, when the CDC issued their suggestions. His quote on that same day was:
Quote:
it’s voluntary. You don’t have to do it. They suggested for a period of time, but this is voluntary. I don’t think I’m going to be doing it.
. Do you not see how that completely undermines the CDC's suggestions?

You definitely see as the months going on he is resigned to wearing them but he's still not being emphatic about it being the right thing to do:
Quote:
May 21, touring a Ford plant: “I wore one” — a mask — “in the back area. I didn’t want to give the press the pleasure of seeing it.”

July 19, to the Fox News host Chris Wallace: “I don’t agree with the statement that if everybody wears a mask, everything disappears.”
He even speaks like they're something that's not needed at the presidential debate:
Quote:
When needed, I wear masks. I don’t wear masks like him,” he said of Mr. Biden. “Every time you see him, he’s got a mask. He could be speaking 200 feet away from them, and he shows up with the biggest mask I’ve ever seen.

These are facts, not some syndrome you've made up

Do you object to reduction of US troop deployments in Europe and Asia? I don't. I also don't think it's extreme.

I think it's a welcome change that a Republican would even consider not having the US act as World Police, and I'd think Democrats should welcome it, if they're not being hypocritical assholes.

How many dictators did he cozy up to?

The same number as Obama and your bootlicking Prime Ministers, although unlike them, Trump didn't bribe them with billions of dollars and actually got results, such as the ongoing cascade of peace deals in the Middle East, where all Obama accomplished was to give Iran and North Korea nuclear missiles, let ISIS rampage all over the Middle East raping women and destroying irreplaceable archaeological treasure, and bomb people.

Funny how you called it "Having an open dialog without preconditions" and gave Obama a Nobel Peace Prize for it without him having even achieved any results, just for using the words. But now because you've been told you're supposed to hate Trump and are a helpless finger-puppet who can't think for himself, now the same thing is "cozying up to dictators". Don't let yourself be made such a fool.

The CDC doesn't look "crippled" to me. You probably have already had erased from your mind the fact that Obama purged the entire US Government, multiple times across multiple agencies, when he felt an agencie's senior leadership was not loyally adhering to his policy, which is their jobs. Nobody at that time used the word "crippling".

Okay, I think some people did use the word "crippling" to describe what he did to the Department of Defense.

Point is, anybody who has lived any years knows that every President gets blamed for their "response" to whatever acts of god occur during their tenure. The Democrats shit all over Bush for a Hurricane. The Republicans shit all over Obama for an oil spill. The Truth is that Trump did a good job with the Pandemic, deploying an unprecedented volume of Federal resources. Unprecedented. And, he correctly allowed localized policy.

The vivid example of how a Democrat would have handled it is New York Governor Cuomo's response: unlike Trump who immediately took the decisive action of closing ports of entry, Cuomo did nothing upon discovering there was a major outbreak festering and growing in New Rochelle, for political reasons. He was afraid to offend the Jews and look authoritarian. That outbreak spread, and 80% of the cases in the U.S. have been traced to it.

Cuomo then vacillated back and forth between doing nothing and being excessively authoritarian, in a largely ineffective manner, while engaging in a lot of political theater. While he mostly did nothing but report the statistics as the New York metropolitan area got its ass kicked because he took no action, he also blamed other states, blamed the Federal government, blamed his subordinates, blamed municipal and county governments, and even once ordered the National Guard to take scarce ventilators away from rural hospitals that barely had any and bring them to the big city to take care of the rich. Then overnight he realized that wasn't right and changed his mind because it was a textbook example of brutal authoritarianism. Then he went back to blaming Trump (who had generously released trillions of dollars in resources and allowed states to do whatever they wanted) for being authoritarian and not providing resources.

In short, your a propaganda victim, and most of what you think you know is pretty much the opposite of the truth.

I’m confused. He’s not doing anything different, but what he is doing is a welcome change?

You can’t have it both ways. If Trumps policies are significantly different than his predecessors, then is a radical, not a conservative.

Honestly, you should just accept that. But you also want to claim that anyone who criticizes Trump has TDS, so you’re to simultaneously claim that his policies are totally mainstream, so anyone criticizing him must be crazy.

I believe I alluded to the reasons in a post of mine around a month ago. To lazy to look it up, and too pissed to repeat myself because of the score right now between the Dodgers and Braves.

During the last hours of an election in Europe the angry people get motivated at large and go voting if they hear an election is over, because the majority of the vote is safe, while the voters supposed to be in the majority tend staying at home. Just like 2016 in the U.S. I think. But the american people are guided by Mr. Feelgood normally and all want to be the winners:
For most of the presidential elections in the U.S. there is a rush of the winning majority to the voting machines. (Perhaps because of what richk449 said to me: The american people unite behind one president.)

So, I hope for the american system there won't be civil war as predicted by your main stream media in the U.S.

And I cannot grasp why not a very simple principle is used to turn down these doubts all votes are counted: First in - first counted!

if there is a pseudo-civilWar it is one that has been stoked by the MSM and the democrats for the last four years... Weaponizing BLM and AntiFa so there is already a mass of protesters ready ... its digusting .

I posted this before in this thread... with evidence what hte MSM have been doing, inciting violence almost from day one and then act surprised when there is... the advocation of an the act of violence which has traditionally resulted in a -10% drop in Democrat voting in the affected states

who would have through people don't like their shit destroyed, especially as they can point the finger at a party and the MSM

so Trump will get in, a certain aspect of society will view this as permission to riot, Trump will need to release the national guard to bring it under control, there will be accusations of Facism (when we are miles away from that).
Guess what will happen if Biden gets in... if aspects of society were stoked to fight against a sitting president there will always be a push back... those that are being labeled as "far right" because you know its easy to assign a label to dismiss them. If biden gets in by questionable means then those people will be on the streets

fucking butterfly people... butterfly.

MSM needs a slap to start reporting again not pushing opinions

just incase there are some that thinks this is drivel... explain this and the last 4 years

Not voting for Biden should be obvious to anyone that has payed attention. There is a reason that Biden has historically been a laughingstock even among Democrats.

Yea, I understand why you aren’t voting for Biden. You have been clear about that all along. I don’t understand why you aren’t voting for Trump though. You have spoken positively about him for a while now, so I am curious why you voted for someone else.

It was not specific towards you but anyone fitting the description.

Mainly, if there's a groundswell support for Trump, why argue about what "mainstream" media is doing? Also, if large portions of the people are not following the said media houses, then how are they "mainstream"?
