Hi
I have here a gentoo 1.4 rc1.
my problem is, that sometimes, while i am working under kde, the system lacks for about 3 seconds.
the only thing i do in the back - emerge *ggg*
could the reason be "preemtive kernel" ??? |

Could you see if this problem persists with the vanilla kernel sources? _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

i just installed the system yesterday with the gentoo sources. i thougt about it, but also i thougt to disable the preemptive to test it. because some packets made compiling failures once and after one or two tries, they compiled without errors. tomorrow i will have time to try it without preemptive.
