Do you know why they don't work? Do you get any error messages? When does the bootup stop? Immediately after you hit enter in Grub, or after loading a certain driver? |

What's your grub setup (menu.lst) ? Maybe you haven't passed the root parameter to the kernel
BTW
The subject you chose is a bad one. Please make the subjects in the next posts more descriptive. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |

Do you have a root=/dev/... parameter in /boot/grub/menu.lst? Do you have your root filesystem compiled into the kernel [*]? _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |

dd your drive for us and send us each an image so we can analyze it!
*LOL*
No but seriously, from the sounds of it, you are definately going to have to be a bit more verbose about the problem. |

No solution yet, but I've got the same problem, goes to boot, then freezes (in my case during the usb initialisation), but I'll post here if i find the solution. |
