maybe a mix of https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-newbie-8/fluxbox-change-languages-keyboard-layout-393468/ and https://www.systutorials.com/docs/linux/man/5-fluxbox-keys/

Good day Everyone,

I need an advice on keyboard layout switcher for fluxbox, the problem is that I have to switch the layout very often and I'm looking for a switcher which remembers layout per window or tab.
Something similar to a Switching Policy in KDE: Global, Desktop, Application, Window. Maybe someone already uses this and can tell what it's name is.

See https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout_switching#lxpanel.27s_keyboard_layout_handler. Using lxpanel instead of fbpanel

You may add all symbols you need to just one keyboard layout and never switch again. I have very basic US keyboard and I can do μ or ° or € or whatever I need with it, I hold down the "Windows key" to switch.
