Hello,

I believe I have managed to GPU passthrough my integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 chip through QEMU, however the "second display" is always black. Where actually does the display transmit to?
I have connected a HDMI cable from my onboard to my monitor just in case that what happens, but there's no output there either.

I have included a screenshot below of what it looks like. As you can see, I have connected to the display via Spicy, however the main driver is connected, but the second display is black.

This is my command I use to invoke qemu:

Code:

sudo sh -c "echo '1d3d8ccc-dee5-4c81-9be2-497f2b15628e' > /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.0/mdev_supported_types/i915-GVTg_V5_8/create";
qemu-system-x86_64 -enable-kvm -daemonize \
    -display gtk,gl=on \
    -machine type=q35,accel=kvm \
    -cpu host \
    -drive id=disk,file=/home/griff/Desktop/2019-12-01-qemu/windows-10-base_x64.qcow2,if=none -device ahci,id=ahci -device ide-drive,drive=disk,bus=ahci.0 \
    -device vfio-pci,sysfsdev=/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.0/1d3d8ccc-dee5-4c81-9be2-497f2b15628e,x-igd-opregion=on,display=on \
    -boot d \
    -smp cores=8,threads=16 \
    -m 8G \
    -mem-path /dev/hugepages \
    -k gb \
    -device virtio-serial \
    -spice port=${SPICE_PORT},disable-ticketing \
    -chardev spicevmc,id=vdagent,name=vdagent \
    -device virtserialport,chardev=vdagent,name=com.redhat.spice.0 \
    "$@"

and connect via Spicy this way:

spicy --title Windows 127.0.0.1 -p 5924

Grub:

Code:
init=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd plash=verbose,theme:natural_gentoo i915.enable_gvt=1 intel_iommu=on vfio-pci.ids=8086:3e98 rd.driver.pre=vfio-pci nvidia-drm.modeset=1

My host Gentoo system utilises a NVidia GFX card, whilst using the proprietary nvidia drivers. Does this cause an issue?

Thanks!

Steve
