Only in America.

Speaking of pumpkin carving, I'm trying to figure out what to carve this year. Suggestions? Nothing too hard!

His videos are usually funny. Dry wit.

Have you normally used other gourds besides pumpkin? Wondering because I like the one in the middle and believe I've only seen carving done with pumpkin (or maybe other gourds which look similar).

Disclaimer, I'm not allowed to defend myself and am therefore denied a firearm - so I have no knowledge in this field whatsoever.

Was he using regular ammo - I'd have thought at that range, that the bullets would have had a bit more erm impact

I suspect the pumpkin was cleaned out first. Even with ball ammo it would have been much more, err, interesting. When I clicked to watch the video, I was fully expecting to see pumpkin parts being scattered.

Separately, I’ve been cleaning up and going through stuff at my mother’s house. A couple of days ago, I came across the 9mm ball slug that, years ago, had come through the roof and lodged in the ceiling sheetrock, trajectory wise, came from the thug infested apartments adjacent to the neighborhood. Then yesterday, some jackass unloaded a mag from that same direction. The air asset was overhead within three minutes, couldn’t have been too far away. Today, after seeing this post, going out to a store to get some stuff, I passed the building that about 45 years ago had a small hamburger joint. That was where I saw my first armed robbery. The perp went up to the register and pulled out a 1911. I just watched quietly as my mother and I were eating at a table just across from the register. The cashier emptied the drawer then the guy left. Only then did I bring it to my mother’s attention, she was not reliably subtle and it occurred just outside of her peripheral vision. She agreed that she probably would have screamed in shock, or at least not remained calm and quiet.

Of course a 10 year old schwartz woulda capped his ass. :D

Traditionally, Samhain was a time to take stock of the herds and food supplies. Cattle were brought down to the winter pastures after six months in the higher summer pastures.[21] It was also the time to choose which animals would need to be slaughtered for the winter.
