|
|
While trying an "emerge ktail" (both sudo and root proper), I am failing with...
--------------------------- ACCESS VIOLATION SUMMARY ---------------------------
LOG FILE = "/tmp/sandbox-ktail-0.6.1-28582.log"
mkdir: /root/.kde/share
mkdir: /root/.kde/share
mkdir: /root/.kde/share
mkdir: /root/.kde/share
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also experienced simular issues with wwwlib-perl; however, rac posted a bug report link (at https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=14918) saying an "emerge rsync" will fix the error (Thanks rac! ). It did, but this error has persisted. I also think I may have recieved "mkdir /root/.kde" errors while initally installing KDE; however, it installed fine and didn't log any errors (though it did not create any files in /root either...not sure if it should have or not).
Any suggestions or comments? I'd prefer to not have to turn of sandbox if I can help it (which seems to be the current solution running about for these types of errors). |

According to Naan Yaar, this one is relatively benign, and you should be able to ignore it. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

Thanks for the reply.
For KDE, I can accept that. It seems to work and that eases my concerns about it.
For ktail; however, it fails the install and prints out a "Access Violation Summary" log in tmp. Reinstalling doesn't help and it is not installed. Wish it were benign... |
