It seems Raspberry Pi series is not supported much by mainline linux.

I'm attracted to https://libre.computer/products/boards/aml-s905x-cc/ because it claims to be supported by upstream linux.

What about odroid n2?

5.3.0 works, I am still on proprietary but will switch as soon as Neil Amstrong is done porting the SBC to mainline ;-) I also tried balbes150 5.3.0-rc6 N2s kernel of course kudos but I still wait a bit.
So in general amlogic has an excellent linux mainline support (sponsored with amlogic $$$ so it might not last forever)
No *BSD support since "they fking put all registers in a fking (memory) page and that is against the *nix phylosophy"

BTW S905 is an excellent product and best supported by the mainline kernel but outdated. Of course is real ARM architecture unlike the raspy shit, you know AArch64 (arm64) profiles are now stable but stand on feeble legs...
