Hi there,
I've installed Gnome 3.30 without systemd on a laptop.
All is fine, but suspend does not work. Initially I thought that yet again I have something missing in kernel. Tried a lot to no avail until I randomly installed pm-utils and run pm-suspend. And it worked! Trying to suspend from Gnome 3 UI — still fail. It seems that Gnome 3 does not use pm-utils and fails suspend. Pm-utils on the other hand work flawlessly.
The question is:
How do I make Gnome <s>great again</s> sleep again? Is it possible to make it use pm-utils at least?

Obviously, if you can code, you can patch in a solution.

If not, you may want to check this post.

Given my question, it is also obvious that if I knew, _what_ and _where_ to patch, I wouldn't ask in the first place.

Tanks for pointing this out.
