When i mount a dvd with mount /dev/cdroms/cdrom1 /mnt/cdrom (my dvd player)
or with /dev/dvd (a link to it)
It say's:
localhost root # mount /dev/cdroms/cdrom1 /mnt/cdrom
mount: fs type udf not supported by kernel
and
localhost root # mount /dev/dvd /mnt/cdrom
mount: fs type udf not supported by kernel
can someone help me plz _________________ AMD 2500+ @ 2260 Mhz, 1024 MB, GF FX 5900XT, 2x 200 gb raid-0, 1x 120 gb |

DVD's use a different file system than CD's (UDF vs. ISO). I had this same problem. You will need to recompile your kernel with file system support for UDF (DVD) to be able to read from a DVD disc.

I believe UDF is also used in many packet writing applications. An example is DirectCD from EasyCDCreator. |
