You know, this place used to be full of challenge. Like, someone questions your philosophy on life, and you respond by shredding said peon!

...

Whatever happened to all that?

EDIT: Anyone remember ebrostig?

We got older, we know each other more, we have more respect for the view points of others as we can see how they have been reasoned and not just programmed. At least, that's how I see it.

Embarrassingly: If memory serves, Muso is not your original name. What was it? Or am I thinking of jdmulloy?

I had to think over this some more. Given my state of mind right now, that is rather difficult.

Capitalism is the least-atrocious system for a collective of human beings. But something better must sure lie beyond...

Not the answer I was expecting.

Bush, Obama, Trump, intolerance, and outrage addiction. And a seeming inability to experience a disagreement of opinion. Not necessarily in that order or in linear time.

There are some who are obviously just parroting what they hear from the blue check marks on Twitter, and then there are some that actually reasoned their way to a similar conclusion. The difference is all the difference in the world. It is the difference between an individual and an NPC.

That's because you have Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's all just Gilgamesh vs Enkidu.

Well, OTW has become kind of a free speech haven. So many platforms have simply started censoring that when we have one that doesn't, OTW, we try to protect it because we recognize its value on some level.

Maybe I'm projecting a bit here ;)

I agree with that. And the same "type" who attack free speech online are the ones trying to shut it down. It is pretty sad that free expression has so many enemies.

They fear being exposed.

Sounds like hate speech to me. Just because you disagree with me that doesn't entitle you to say it out loud, invading my safe denial space with cognitive dissonance!

This is what happens when the right-wing wins.

Our most racist state passed a law that prohibits a phenomenon that devastates population growth in the black community.

You mean Democrats aren't the only ones who shoot themselves in the foot?

It's obvious, we need more diversity. As we don't actually have more diversity, we need members to identify with various minority factions and post on their behalf.

Next week could be LQBLT week for example.

I tried. I logged in as Cucky McSnowflake with an NPC avatar, but the account was terminated with extreme prejudice.

Makes me think of Montgomery Burns with all his sickness evens things out to nullify all his illness. Put all the ideologies in one pot, that is. Lets try that?
