it really doesn't matter whether you like Trump or not, whether you agree with his policies or how he goes about it. He was elected and what transpired afterwards should be an embarrassment to every American and anyone in the world that respects the democratic process. The want of the statistical insignificant does not overrule the will of the many. Those that believe in democracy should be advocating Trump's legitimacy in office (sure berate him if you want) and pushing to really expose what the Democrats, FBI and Obama did to ensure this NEVER happens again
Ignoring Meuller's credibility, it took him almost 2 years for his investigation. There's less than 18 months before the next election, which means less for any investigation and some kind of meaningful resolution. It all comes to and end if Republicans aren't able to at least retain the Senate.

Except ... Meuller's investigation is now over and the spin that Trump is vindicated, Trump was spied on etc

if the Republicans hold off starting any counter investigation to get to the root of the corruption in the FBI and how it links back to Obama/Clinton, it will hit peak ZOMG right before the elections. When it comes to politics, a week is a long time

*IF* Clinton had won, what went on would never have been known and the playbook would have been viable for the next time a select few wanted someone in
*IF* the investigation started later AND as such the peak of the dirt/BS was leaked around the next election, Trump would have lost.

It however didn't, it has finished and now what? what are the democrats going todo? The investigation into the FBI/Clinton/Obama-administration just needs to wait 6months before starting and it will hit the initial inside information at election time, tainting any debates the democrats have as all of that can be thrown back at them. The democrats will then have to make some hard decisions along the lines of distancing themselves from what went on in Obama-administration and the FBI and essentially throw them under the bus so a new type of democrat comes out.

That's all good and well, but there's every indication that there will be no appreciable change to the beat of the war drum ('tis only a flesh wound!). That will require reasonable people to use critical thinking skills more than ever. And all that after 4 years of constant negativity.

I agree with the timing. Is there will enough to follow it all the way to the top? Obama, Clinton(s), Lynch, Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein, Mueller, the DNC, Congress? MI6? Maybe we'll be lucky and enough arrogance at the top will result in would-be-scapegoats not taking the fall. Yeah, I'm skeptical.

It's about power. And to be fair, turn the tables, and I don't think the vast majority of Republicans would be acting much differently. Although they'd certainly have given up by now.

Austrian right wing populist Heinz-Christian Strache gives up Vice position in governement today. He calls it a political assassination.

But this assassination was possible only because Putin and his olligarchs meddled far less in Europe than expected (by Strache and his friends)
Strache regrets here (german language). But first accuses of criminal assassination

Putin passive in Europe fires back for his friends ...

also unclear:
Although the assassins placed their bomb against Strache two years ago, why did they let it detonate now?

But:
In Europe now we have our own "Strache Report" video on the right wing populists! And it is without doubt and without any law abiding language needed a killing.

NO. Russia never hacked the election, and nobody with any credibility has claimed they did. Yes, that excludes most Democrats. The Russians tried to influence public opinion through social media. Big difference. Barack Obama did more than that when he sent his reelection campaign people to Israel to try and unseat Netanyahu.

'Lock him up !' Mueller shouts to Congress. This is being reported in Europe by France 24
"Robert Mueller is asking the Congress to act"
