|
|
I've read through the boards here and I can't figure this one out.
I want to give the 2.6.x series kernel a try. When I try to compile 2.6.2-r2, it tells me that my version of gcc is too old. Which version do I need?
Is there a handy "using the 2.6 kernel on your sparc" FAQ somewhere that I've missed?
And on a related note, whats the deal with this:
[blocks B ] sys-devel/egcs64-sparc (from pkg sys-devel/gcc-sparc64-3.2.3)
I saw this this morning when I did emerge -up system. What is egcs64-sparc?
Pardon me while I wallow in my ignorance
Thanks folks.
