After I suspend my computer with pm-suspend and wake it up, my monitor never wakes up. Where can I start looking to try to debug it? |

What is your videocard and what driver is used? _________________ GA-Z170X-UD3 / i7-6700K / DDR4 32GB / Radeon RX 570 / TL-WDN4800 / Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250 Gb + WD Green WDC 2 Tb / BenQ BL2711U + LG TV 42LF650V |

I remember having similar problem some time back...
Try ctrl+alt+F<n> to change to virtual terminal. Then switch back to your graphical session.
If that works you can create a suspend-hook-script which uses chvt for example to switch back and forth after waking from suspend. It's ugly, I know. There might be better way to "refresh" graphical session.
But first you should test if changing to virtual terminal and back works. _________________ ..: Zucca :..

I've got an AMD R9 290 and I'm using the amdgpu driver.

It happens even if I haven't started Xorg yet, this is, even if I'm only using a tty. So I assume it's got nothing to do with Xorg. |

The screen(s) always remained black if I tried to suspend from vt. _________________ ..: Zucca :..

The same thing happens if I suspend and wake up inside Xorg. In any case I expect suspend to work fine using a tty too. |

But did switching the vt do anything? _________________ ..: Zucca :..

Okay, so... the problem went away after updating to Linux 5.0.3. Now my computer wakes up properly both in a tty and in Xorg. Case closed. :-)
Thanks for your help. |
