Problem one ...

I compiled a new kernel to get VFIO running.
But since then my boot process seems to slow down a bit.
I never had the chance to see a bootup dialog cause of the speed of light with a nvme.
But since the new kernel I can read the following error message at bootup ...

Code:
failed to start load kernel modules.
see `systemctl status systemd-modules-load.service` for more info.

So I tried to figue out what is wrong, but I cant find any thing.
My old kernel now also seems to have this message at bootup (which is odd).

Code:
[~] systemctl status systemd-modules-load.service
● systemd-modules-load.service - Load Kernel Modules

     Docs: man:systemd-modules-load.service(8)
           man:modules-load.d(5)
  Process: 2967 ExecStart=/lib/systemd/systemd-modules-load (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
 Main PID: 2967 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)

Code:
[~] journalctl -b -u systemd-modules-load.service

vfio                   32768  2 vfio_iommu_type1,vfio_pci
irqbypass              16384  2 vfio_pci,kvm

What is wrong here ?
VFIO seems to work, but why the kernel message then ?

No clue what egress BPF is and why I will need that.
Any explanation what egress BPF could be ?

Problem two ...

Boot message ...
Code:
Mär 08 21:39:02 mypc kernel: tsc: Fast TSC calibration failed

Code:
[~] dmesg | grep -i fail

[    0.000000] tsc: Fast TSC calibration failed

How do I get this right
and what is this for ?

Not sure what this is about.
I have no ECC memory or is this about MCE ?
Did my ryzen 2700 cpu want this ?
