Hi all !
My company is starting to move the VPN solution to a more up2date version and now I need to change my VPN connection setup.
Until now, having NetworkManager + VPNC was (and still is) working fine, but I'm having a bit of a trouble configuring l2tp + IPSEC using NetworkManager and I don't wan't to have to go to windows every time I need to connect to the VPN.
I've already installed :

but no VPN option using l2tp appear on NetworkManager VPN list...
Have also installed net-vpn/networkmanager-libreswan and a when configuring a new VPN, a new option appears - VPN using IPSec, but nothing about l2tp ...
I'm I missing something or NetworkManager doesn't support l2tp ? I've seen some tutorials online (using Ubuntu) and the option of using l2tp does exits in Networkmanager, but not in mine.
I'm using nm-applet to manage the connections. Using XFCE as desktop, openrc and slim ...
Any help would be great

What networkmanager-l2tp version do you have and from where did you get the ebuild?

After your post, I was able to updade the networkmanager-plugin to 1.2.10, from maggu2810-overlay

The option is there, but it's incomplete, in the sense that they are missing options. Here's a screenshot when adding a VPN using the Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP):
