|
|
I've been using Cinnamon (aka gnome2) in a teaching lab of 25+ debian based computers.
We like it.
I'm running gnome3 on my gentoo box right now.
There are gnome tools I like.
I'm considering switching to cinnamon? (and dropping my nvidia video card and start using amd)
Throw me your opinion, please. _________________ Without diversity there can be no evolution:) |

Anyway only you can know whether to make the change, for example I don't like gnome so from my point of view you should make the change. _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

While I agree, I think many users actually prefer a full DE rather than a perfectly tuned tiling WM. Within Gentoo, Plasma-5 is the better alternative for them.
I'm with you, though using i3. _________________ "You can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think" ~ Dorothy Parker

Yeah, it's hard to see all the ancient gnome 2 and xorg bugs and annoyances come back all at the same time ..... _________________ Ok boomer
