Hey, all, I'm having some issues with some stabilty in my system, I am still running on the kernel I started with about 2 months ago, I used genkernel. However, I feel that it's time to roll out my own kernel. However, it's been a while since I've done that, a few years actually. I used to use Pappy's seeds once before, but I know that has all changed since then.
Here are the outputs of lspci -n and cat /proc/cpuinfo:
lspci -n
cat /proc/cpuinfo
I can provide any other info on my system that is needed.
I don't want to seem helpless, but if someone could just direct me to a good starting point, I can probably handle the rest with only a few questions here and there along the way.
Thanks!!

Your lspci is a little too machine-friendly, can you post the output of a simple "lspci" without other flag?
For ryzen cpus, this is the wiki page, already seen?
Maybe you can find some suggestion for stbility problem and a kernel configuration on this topic:
Ryzen 1600 hang issue [its back!]
In my opinion:
- check your motherboard bios and update it;
- if system hangs on idle, search the PSU options fot "typical current idle" or something like;
- use the fresher kernel you can, I'm running same cpu like you with a 4.19.6 kernel without problem. _________________ proud user of faKeDE-4.7.3 -> back to windowmaker -> moved to LXQt |

todd93,
Pappys Seeds has been rebranded to Pappys Preconfigs. Otherwise its still the same. _________________ Regards,

NeddySeagoon to the rescue yet again! Question, as I didn't want to clutter up the thread on Pappy's configs, the only kernel that I see as version 4.20.0 is the vanilla sources. Is that correct? Or am I wrong?
Thanks

todd93,
Older versions are there too. It looks like vanilla as none of the Gentoo option are there.
If you post in Pappys topic, you might get a response from Pappy :) _________________ Regards,

NeddySeagoon,
Yes, Pappy has helped me in the past, and I have no issue whatsoever with the vanilla-sources, in fact I used to use them quite a lot!
If I run into serious problems with my kernel, I will post in that thread, but we have to get to that point!
Thanks again!
