Just emerged mixxx on both desktop and laptop, laptop built fine (Intel/AMD hybrid GPU), but on the desktop it segfaults.
Code: | mixxx

[1] 15405 segmentation fault mixxx |
Anyone else experience something similar, and if so do you know a solution?
mixxx-2.2.0
4.20 gentoo sources
nvidia-drivers-415.25
{EDIT} The font warning is just that, it is not causing the segfault. As for the alsa warning, I got the same on the laptop but it doesn't prevent launch. This is a segfault caused by nvidia opengl. _________________ "You can lead a horticulture but you can't make her think" ~ Dorothy Parker

I managed to run mixxx by preloading libGL.so on my desktop using:
Code: |
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/opengl/nvidia/lib/libGL.so mixxx
|
it starts up for me but im sure this is not a great long term fix. My nvidia driver is out of tree and currently using a beta driver with vulkan support.
nvidia-396.54.09 I think. Iirc using a driver under the portage tree worked without the preload, however my current setup with the beta driver made me use this workaround.
Here is my error without the preload
