PostPosted: Mon Dec 03, 2018 8:45 pm    Post subject: Mujs fails to emerge [SOLVED] Reply with quote

During recent world update (emerge -avuDN --with-bdeps=y @world) mujs was added as a dependency for mupdf and mpv, but it fails to emerge, error seems to be:

mv: failed to access '/var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/mujs-1.0.4/homedir/Archive/': No such file or directory

Note1: In order to update the other software I have updated without mujs. To do so I disabled javascript useflag for mpv, mupdf and reverted mupdf to an older version as the new version required mujs regardless, and excluded mupdf from world update with --exclude.

Note2: cups is failing to emerge now as well, with the same error (mv: failed to access '/var/tmp/portage/net-print/cups-2.2.7/homedir/Archive/': No such file or directory). I will post logs as well if requested but given cups depends on mupdf it is probably caused by me not updating mupdf?

Mujs emerge --info output:
emerge --info '=dev-lang/mujs-1.0.4::gentoo'

You can post build.log with wgetpaste when you run emerge -d1 mujs command?

I don't know much about wgetpaste, is this what you wanted?

I think I fixed it myself, it was due to user error on my part so sorry for wasting peoples time.

It seems a shell script I had made was being executed due to bad naming by me, and having modified my root path as well as uncommented the line in /etc/profile that unsets the ROOTPATH, or at least that is what I think but I already removed my script that was causing a problem as it was outdated anyway so I am not sure. Lesson learned to be more careful with naming and probably start using aliases.
