https://paste.pound-python.org/show/gYnHnfAQU0oB6X6CvuV9/ contains an edited copy of my menuconfig Graphics Support section. Unedited it works for an rx560 video card. Edits are my best guess for Ryzen 2400G . I am using 4.19.6-gentoo kernel, some items in https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/AMDGPU#Kernel have disappeared. Some adds. Good luck. Recommend pastebin dmesg and kernel each time you make changes and reboot and post with problems. _________________ Defund the FCC. |

Hi Donahue,

Thanks for your reply and the example config you provided. My .config now basically has the same graphics settings, and i moved to 4.19.8 kernel. With this, all the call-traces and the ' tainted' kernel remain.
dmesg:
https://paste.pound-python.org/show/XXuoSXGeIsOGobDJ3cVX/
config:
https://paste.pound-python.org/show/ntJnPgzgXyYWq2Ue1Drb/
Note however, that the system in itself does not seem to suffer from it: It boots, runs xfce, etc .
So, although it is a bit strange to have all these items in my dmesg, I cannot estimate if certain messages are just warnings and could be easily ignored.
(Basically, I don't want to spend everybody's time if the conclusion would be 'well, just ignore it for now') .
Best,
Alexander. |
