[Solved] crappy looking fonts in kde...

What can I do to improve the appearance of my fonts in KDE? Is there a smoothing option or should I install additioinal fonts? The screen is running one of those hybrid Nvidia-intel chipsets at HD native resolution. any ideas? it looks i need to fix some font scaling- dont think ts smoothing.
