Weierd keyboard layout in TigerVNC 1.9.0-r1

When restarting my vps I found out, I cannot login anymore so I downgraded tiverVNC to version before.

Enter button gives -> t
Delete button gives -> 5
q -> 7
w ->8
r -> 9
t -> 0

a ->u
s ->i
d ->o
f ->p

and so on.

What is this, and how to configure keyboard layouts on it?

At the moment I stick with 1.8.0-r3 and/or will look for alternatives.

lol, the first alternative I tried, vinagre, has the same weired layout described above.

ok, at least I found one alternative that works similar to tigervnc-1.8 which is krdc.

But still, what is this? I need qwertz keyboard with swiss german layout.
