Sometime in the last half year vmware-workstation stopped working on my Gentoo box. I am using the vmware overlay via layman.
When I try to start vmware-workstation (/etc/init.d/vmware start) I receive the following in /var/log/messages

I am using the following three vmware packages:
app-emulation/vmware-modules-308.5.9
app-emulation/vmware-tools-10.1.6.5214329
app-emulation/vmware-workstation-12.5.9.7535481
I did try to re-emerge those three packages and still have the same issue.
Any ideas on how to get more debugging output or how to fix this? vmware-workstation did work for me earlier this year. |
