I've
Code:
crossdev -t armv6j-unknown-linux-gnueabihf
and extracted http://distfiles.gentoo.org/releases/arm/autobuilds/20180831/stage3-armv6j_hardfp-20180831.tar.bz2 in /usr/armv6j-unknown-linux-gnueabihf/ and chrooted it.

In side chroot:
Code:
gentoo / # uname -a
Linux gentoo 4.14.65-gentoo #6 SMP Wed Aug 29 10:47:14 IST 2018 armv7l Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2350M CPU @ 2.30GHz GNU/Linux

why the uname is armv7l? I think it should be armv6j. Or armv7l is back compatible with armv6j?

I've also placed qemu-wrapper in /usr/armv6j-unknown-linux-gnueabihf/ with cpu="arm1176jzf-s" as described in https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Embedded_Handbook/General/Compiling_with_qemu_user_chroot

I've already built few bin-packages in this crossdev and already installed them on RPi1B. I've not noticed any problem with the system so far. Is it ok to install them on RPi1B?
