Hallo Zusammen,
ich befasse mich zur Zeit intensiv mal wieder mit gentoo und habe es aktuell erfolgreich in einer VirtualBox Umgebung installiert mit manuell kompiliertem Kernel. Ich bin leider absoluter Anfänger in gentoo. Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich ebenfalls mal eine Installation hinbekommen, damals mit Gnome als Desktop Umgebung.
Nun bin ich dabei und versuche mich an Plasma/Kde. Ich konnte also gentoo erfolgreich, soweit ich es beurteilen kann, fehlerfrei installieren mit dem Initsystem OpenRC.
Jetzt versuche ich mich an Plasma/Kde und scheitere kläglich. Ich lese natürlich die Dokumentation, habe aber noch massive Verständnisprobleme und komme in der Sache einfach nicht weiter.
Vielleicht kann mir jemand das näher erläutern wie die weiteren Schritte sind bzw. was mir da gesagt werden soll. Meiner Meinung nach habe ich alle benötigten USE Flags gesetzt und auch das System upgedatet. Ich komm einfach nicht weiter was noch fehlt.

so wie ich das verstehe, steht da immer ein ODER zwischen den flags, deshalb auch at-most-one-of. Also entweder consolekit oder elogind oder systemd.

Hi,
ja so sehe ich das auch. Ich hab in der Dokumentationseite von Gentoo Plasma auch die Voraussetzungen abgearbeitet und dabei consolekit eigentlich installiert und auch gestartet.
Daher ist meiner Meinung nach consolekit eingerichtet......
Vermutlich müssen noch andere USE Flags gesetzt werden aber welche? Ich möchte jetzt nicht einfach die übernehmen die da in der Meldung oben stehen. Den z.B. -dhcpd würde nach meinem Verständnis bedeuten das dann dhcpd gestrichen wird oder? Ich bin aber der Meinung das ich das benötige. Ich verwende dhcp |

dhclient ist ja gesetzt. Siehe auch `equery u networkmanager` (equery ist Teil von app-portage/gentoolkit)
PS: Dein Code-Schnipsel enthält Fehler, die eigentlich nur durch manuelles Tippen entstehen konnten? |

ich bin nach der Dokumentation vorgegangen:

Als Profil hab ich "plasma/stable" gesetzt.
Müsste ich der Meldung nach dann jetzt also in die make.conf folgende USE genau so übernehmen? (also ohne die Abtippfehler, ich schau mir die genaue Ausgabe dann nochmal an)

Ich bin nun wie folgt vorgegangen:

Das widerspricht eben exakt folgender Bedingung:

Ich dachte eigentlich, dass das klar aus dem KDE Guide hervor geht.
Und wieso hast du alle USE flags in die make.conf übertragen, die bei net-misc/networkmanager angezeigt wurden? Das funktioniert so nicht (und ist völlig unnötig). |

Hi asturm,
ok Stück für Stück wird es mir etwas klarer, danke.
Also mein Problem war/ist folgendes. Ich hatte gleich nach der Installation den Display Manager sddm installiert, warum auch immer, ich kann es grad nicht mehr nachvollziehen warum ich mit dem angefangen habe.
Auf jedenfall steht im sddm Guide das folgende USE notwendig wären:
consolekit und elogind

Das hab ich doch richtig verstanden das in jedem Guide unter USE immer die Flags drin stehen die man setzen sollte oder? Auf jedenfall hatte ich deshalb elogind in meine make.conf eingetragen. Das hat sich jetzt wohl nicht vertragen.
Ich habe nun alle USE Flags entnfernt aus meiner make.conf und nun lässt sich Plasma installieren. |

Das lese ich nicht. Die Box zeigt einfach nur an, welche USE flags verfügbar sind.
USE Änderungen in der make.conf wirken sich im Übrigen immer global aus; das sollte immer ein `emerge -N world` nach sich ziehen. |
