I'm struggling with this wifi card:
lspci -s 03:00.0 -v: | 03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Device 2526 (rev 29)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device 0014
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 17
Memory at a4300000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
Capabilities: [c8] Power Management version 3
Capabilities: [d0] MSI: Enable- Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+
Capabilities: [40] Express Endpoint, MSI 00
Capabilities: [80] MSI-X: Enable+ Count=16 Masked-
Capabilities: [100] Advanced Error Reporting
Capabilities: [14c] Latency Tolerance Reporting
Capabilities: [154] L1 PM Substates
Kernel driver in use: iwlwifi
Kernel modules: iwlwifi |
I'm trying the 4.18.15 and the very fresh 4.19.0 kernels.
Everything in the interface looks ok, but the scanning fails ***almost*** always. I mean that giving 'iw dev wlan0 scan' gives empty output, except rare and random positive listings. The corresponding 'iw dev wlan0 connect -w xxxxx' gives a timeout.
I don't know how to look for a problem. The firmware is loaded, everything in dmesg looks ok, all the usual checks are perfect. Simply, it looks like I'm on the Moon.
But I am at home.
What can I check?
Regards,
