Hello everyone!

So I recently install Gentoo on my computer, and it's the first time that I know about the different SSL libraries: Libressl and Openssl.

I use Openssl at first, and let the portage autounmusk the Openssl-1.0*. After that I met some problem while compiling crypto. Then I disabled the ssl USE flag and enabled the libressl flag. Finally, crypto works fine and I could use my WiFi with wpa-supplicant now.

But now, after I finished installing the desktop environment, a new problem shows: the Chromium needs nodejs with inspector USE flag after version 70, and nodejs [inspector] require ssl flag. Now I'm compiling Chromium 69, but will I be able to use both my WiFi and the lastest version of Chromium in the future?

Thanks for helping!

if you want chromium and libressl you may look at:
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1071236-highlight-.html

I keep my patch applied to pg_overlay's version of chromium here:
http://geki.selfhost.eu/hacks/chromium_no-nodejs.patch

though, currently pg_overlay has neither inox nor ungoogled support, AFAIS.

have fun :o

Ah yes, I was wrong. pg_overlay's chromium still is ungoogled, phew. Thanks for clarification Perfect Gentleman.

JFYI, I updated my patch for ungoogled-chromium 70. See first response. Currently building.
