hello,there.
I can not find the emacs item in the plasma start menu after I emerged app-editors/emacs.
how to solve it? could anyone help me? thanks!

emacs desktop file is located in /usr/share/emacs/<your_version>/etc/emacs.desktop and is not actually found.
One solution is copy this file in ~/.local/share/applications/

hi. the emacs.desktop file is in /usr/share/emacs/26.1/etc folder.
but there is no icon until i copied it to .local/share/applications.

I deteled ./local/share/applications/emacs.desktop. and chmod 755 /usr/share/applications/emacs*. it is fixed.
