Ok - so as of now what's everybody using ? Anything new appeared ?
I'm a bit sick of Firefox (reasons) - so I'm looking for :
No spyware/or at least clear telemetry
I don't want massive bloat. I know this is at odds with a modern browser however, so some bloatiness is inevitable.
Something that can render pages without looking like a time traveller from the mid nineties installed it.
Oh and lastly - no SJW infection.
At this point, I'd even pay for something _________________ Like the Roman, I seem to see "the River Tiber foaming with much blood" |

Try Opera though, I always liked that one. _________________ Chemtrails don't actually exist.

Like Opera too - at one point I played around with Vivaldi, then I noticed that urls seemed to be redirected towards vivalid.rocks or somesuch (it's on a thread hereabouts), made me a bit uncomfortable. _________________ Like the Roman, I seem to see "the River Tiber foaming with much blood" |

I am currently playing around with the QupZilla successor "Falkon". Seems to be quite ok so far, but is based on qtwebengine. _________________ Important German:- "Aha" - German reaction to pretend that you are really interested while giving no f*ck.

Except when you try File -> Save As... and other basic browser features (even IE has more!!) that Microsoft PR claim are just around the corner. |

The thought of that gave me a chuckle.
The web is not a sane place; never was; and that extends to every of its clients.
Maybe Palemoon is something for you? |

They're all garbage. I'm using Firefox because it's not Chromium and I'm forced to choose one or the other for most badly written websites out there.
Dillo 3.1 is stalled, Netsurf and Lynx ebuilds are months out of date, Fiber turned out to be vapourware. The web can burn down for all I care. |

Firefox (since Quantum) is fine. The extensions I use work (uBlock origin, Hackbar, Tamper Data, Foxy-Proxy), I can watch Netflix & Amazon prime on Linux, and it's quite fast. Using DuckDuckGo as my primary search engine means that the only real Google I use is just YouTube, and that's reluctantly simply because BitChute cannot do streams. There's no real advantage to using Chrome, and avoiding Google is generally a good idea.
Offensive Security took over the abandoned "GoogleDorks", so it is now hosted here at GHDB.
I used to be a Google fan boy, especially in the old days when the competition was Alta Vista and Yahoo. Google was a much more elegant search engine. However, they grew, abandoned their principles, and now act as an agent of the state and have become pro-censorship. _________________ Chemtrails don't actually exist.

It's simple really, always is: Google Chrome is the most efficient tool to browse the Internet.
The fact that Google exploits it for its own gains is the price you pay.

Aside from a few niggles about privacy - which seem to be a bit unfounded following a search - the above (after a few minutes) doesn't seem bad. Default search is Bing, duly changed to duck thingy.
Might swap over.
