You should check the permissions for /usr/share/fonts/fontin2_pc

I had the very same issue, only that the access violation happened in regard to another font directory. In my case, that was a font I had installed manually by copying it over to /usr/share/fonts, forgetting to adjust the permission (it had 700 instead of 755, 'username' instead of 'root' for user/group as all other font directories). That's why the installer could not write the temporary file into that directory.

After I solved that issue libreoffice went on installing.

Good luck.

Came across a similar issue with a different package (media-libs/ftgl-2.1.3_rc5), and it is actually resolved if the ".uuid" file is created inside the specific font directory (e.g if the path is "/usr/share/fonts/fontin2_pc/.uuid.TMP-XXXXXX", "/usr/share/fonts/fontin2_pc/.uuid" must then be generated). This file is generated simply by calling the `fc-match -s` command on some valid font and they should all be generated, stopping this particular error from occurring on other ebuilds that call `fc-match`.

That helped me fix https://bugs.gentoo.org/665008 (see last few comment), thanks a lot!

Updating to Groff 1.22.3 had the same problem.. just with OpenImageIO fonts.. created directory /usr/share/fonts/OpenImageIO/.uuid with 755 priviliges and problem is gone.

EDIT: Sorry, you should not be creating a directory but a file instead and the proper priviliges would be 644 for it (just be as permissive as necessary :P)

I had a similar problem when trying an "emerge @preserved-rebuild" and libreoffice filed to build with those complaints on Calibri and DejaVu. All the permissions in /usr/share/fonts looked right, so I re-emerged "dejavu," which requested an "emerge @preserved-rebuild" and then libreoffice built fine.

I had a similar problem with libreoffice-6.1.5.2 re-emerging it after gcc-update. This advice from Andreas Sturmlechner helped me. Maybe that was related to manual symlinking cm-unicode OpenType fonts from Latex to /usr/share/fonts
