I just bought an x220 and while changing the boot device I noticed it said uefi and had options for legacy boot. I've been sucessful installing gentoo on bios several times, however I could never get it to boot on uefi.
I want to be sure I understand:
1. This machine needs to be installed using the uefi instructions? Or can I install the bios way if I change some options?
2. What should by boot options look like in the "bios" before I install
I'm just trying to understand what the main differences are that I need to keep in mind because the bios gentoo install has been a breeze. |
