You can try to copy the hole disc to another one.
The calculated copy time with dd is 15 minutes for a SSD with 512 GB. |

Keruskerfuerst,
All sorts of horrible things will go wrong with that, due to the read only everything even if it boots.
zux0x3a,
If you want to run your install from optical media, it has to be designed that way. Like the LiveCD/DVD
To pack up your system and install it elsewhere, google for a stage4.
Thats like a stage3 tarball buit its your entire system. _________________ Regards,

zux0x3a,
The liveCD and liveDVD are both built with a tool called catalyst. Its in portage.
The difference is in the list of packages that are included.
If you were to use your Gentoo world file as a starting point, catalyst will build you a bootable ISO image file.
I've not used catalyst myself, so that's about the limit of my knowledge.
A stage4 is a backup of all the files in your install. Its not bootable. _________________ Regards,

I've not used catalyst either, but maybe some hints here https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Catalyst _________________ PRIME x570-pro, 3700x, 6.1 zen kernel
