i'm using latest kde. after some time, my toolbar gets jacked up and my desktop icons are all messed up. I restart the plasmashell via the below and it's better. Where can I look to troubleshoot?

I would start in /var/log/messages to see if there is anything odd.

thanks for the tip. i'm using systemd, so, i don't think /var/log/messages is the place to look.
