I have a problem with political correctness. When my brain detects PC I can no longer enjoy the movie.
This one has no PC problem. Le Voleur, 1967, with Belmondo. _________________ Please learn how to denote units correctly! |

I have the same problem with the BBC - they do some good documentaries, but they tend to ruin it with PC limpness. _________________ Like the Roman, I seem to see "the River Tiber foaming with much blood" |

Just watched "Seven Psychopaths" tonight. I thought it was worth the watch! IMO Sam Rockwell is amazing in it! _________________

Mom and Dad.
Nicolas Cage in it, in form. Definitely recommend. _________________ "Defeat is a state of mind. No one is ever defeated, until defeat has been accepted as a reality." -- Bruce Lee |

The Night of the Iguana
I saw it years ago and liked it. I just finished watching it again. Darn, my English has been improving over the years and so did the movie ...
Anyone who sits there sunk into everyday troubles should watch it, it will break you out into open. _________________ Please learn how to denote units correctly! |

The Equalizer 2
Just have to decide whether the theater and giving money to Sony is worth it. Didn't see the first, but wanted to. _________________ Those who know what's best for us must rise and save us from ourselves. |

Tropa de Elite
I'm somewhere between the critics (53%) and audience (87%) scores.
Didn't seem that violent to me, though definitely had some brutality. And "never quite sure where its morals lie" seemed very appropriate to the story, which is purported to be based on claims by officers and a shrink. It doesn't paint any of the 3 sides in a particularly favorable light. It seems plausible based on news from around the time depicted. _________________ Those who know what's best for us must rise and save us from ourselves. |

It has Wagner Moura. Like that guy.
I've seen this movie and I found it rather good. _________________ "Defeat is a state of mind. No one is ever defeated, until defeat has been accepted as a reality." -- Bruce Lee |

Hilda on Netflix was adorable. That was a good watch and clean enough to watch with a 5 year old. _________________ "History began on July 4,1776. Everything before that was a mistake." -Ron Swanson |

Read that book years and years ago. Picked it off my bookshelf a couple of years ago and read it again. I think I saw the movie at one time. _________________ The Future Ain't What It Used To Be

Ghost Busters 2020
Maybe.
"a continuation of the 1984 sequel" and "will not be connected to the 2016 film."
Depends on how "passing of the torch" is translated into a story.
Quote: | Sources tell Variety that Reitman, whose father, Ivan, directed the first two “Ghostbusters” movies, will direct the latest pic in the famous franchise.
Reitman has also co-written a screenplay with Gil Kenan and plans to shoot the film this summer, with Sony planning to release the latest sequel in summer 2020. Insiders say this film will be a continuation of the 1984 sequel and will not be connected to the 2016 film. Sources couldn’t say if that means that the original cast members will be back, as exact story details are still being kept under wraps but sources say Reitman has begun testing teenagers for four mystery roles.
Ivan Reitman’s Montecito Pictures is producing and insiders close to Ivan say he believes this film is a passing of the torch. |
