|
|
I tried to install FreeCAD. I see it's masked because of dependency on QT4. The development variant uses QT5 already.
So I decided that instead of unmasking QT4 stuff I would do better by installing the development one.
It's in layman in fordfrog overlay.
It requires development QT so I added qt overlay as well.
After solving all conflicts I'm ready to emerge...but requiring 2 overlays, 9 unmasks, 9 accept_keywords lines and 3 use changes makes me think that maybe I should stop now, remove whatever I added to my portage and get FreeCAD some other way.
Maybe unmask QT4?
Maybe do something completely different?
Any suggestions? |

I did not read that bug before, but I found just the same ebuild of FreeCAD. And it caused so many troubles.
Installing now... |

One of dependencies from the fordfrog overlay doesn't build (SoQt).
What is the best place to go to ask for support? |

Now that's a great solution!
I downloaded it, manually installed a single dependency and it works.
Thanks a lot for that! |
