hello all, im new to the board and fairly new to gentoo. i just got my hands an ultra 5 sparc and cant seem to get passed the boot process of the cd. whenever i boot from the cd and boot with the basic gentoo boot option, the boot just hangs on the part right after:
Code: | Mounted devfs on /dev |
if anyone can getting me farther than this it would help a lot. thnx! |

Does this happen with our shiny new experimental catalyst CDs too (grab one from here)?
Note: if you're using catalyst-built stages you need to do mount -obind /dev /mnt/gentoo/dev after mounting proc (just before the chroot). |

ok, i fixed it. first of all it was a cdrom drive problem. so for anyone who cares, i put a new drive in and did a Code: | OK set-defualt boot-file | with the new drive in and everything went well after that. YAY! |
