I have a laptop with Win10/Gentoo installed, dual boot. I recently re-installed Gentoo, did not touch the Win partition. Tonight I booted up Win10 and ran NMM to play FO4, and I got a warning about a list of plugins not present any more - but I haven't touched the game or its config.
Is there any possible way having reinstalled Gentoo could have anything to do with this? It doesn't make sense that it would, but it's the only thing major I've done to this laptop since the last time I had a working NMM/FO4 setup. _________________ decibel Linux: https://decibellinux.org

i doubt it, only issues i ever got doing cross OS's like that was windows would sometimes update my uefi boot order.
and honestly i don't see how it could, dual booting gentoo doesn't touch anything from the windows partition unless you mount it and start playing around there. _________________ “Music is a moral law. IF you installed glibc with DLC - caps then yes, it mounts windows partition, finds games and destroys their plugins secretly. One by one, until there is nothing left to bury. _________________ Sent from Windows |
